The spring season was the target for Nansen Legacy cruise organized in late April and first half of May 2021 following transect defined this series cruises to capture variations year sampling physical, biological chemical conditions ice sea. went through both open water ice. Seven process stations were visited (P1 P7) together with smaller NLEG according program seasonal investigations. station (P1) waters, while remaining six main had coverage varying degree. Each lasted 24 hours or more allow a full diurnal cycle. Sampling included physics, samples, phytoplankton, zooplankton, marine chemistry eco toxicology using acoustic, optical robotics methods lab analyses physical samples. Remote sensing data also matched situ observations sea conditions.
